National Elementary Honor Society
The Marion Mix Chapter of the National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) is open to all students, grades 5 and 6, who have met five criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship. Membership in the NEHS is both an honor and a responsibility. It is an honor to be chosen and recognize your service, citizenship, leadership, and character in addition to your academic excellence.
If you chose to continue your membership, you will be required to:
- Maintain a 3.0 grade point average on each report card
- Complete 24 hours of community service over the school year — end of March
- Attend NEHS meetings (minimum of 80% of all meetings)
- Maintain the highest standards in conduct and excellence
